What Went All

What Went Well

In todays lesson when I was finishing off my animation I found it quite entertaining to be honest I managed to actually finish it off and make a successful animation of a car running over a robot in full speed this animation is reflecting to health and safety. The successful aspects of my animation is the fact that the car, the road and the robot was drawn and the way I created the movement was by using the video timeline on Adobe Photoshop. The scene is not realistic because it contains a robot getting ran over by a car which is quite rare in my opinion. The mood that it is showing is serious because the animation wants to show the people who decide to watch the video to be safe and always look left and right while crossing or just staying back if a car is driving to fast this is the message I want to get across to the audience. I could improve my animation by being more artistic with the design by taking time with all the colours and do the road, the robot, the car and the sky in depth. The tools I use is the brush tool, layers (to do different drawings of the road, robot etc), move tool and the timeline. I also need to practice a bit more with the timeline panel so I'm more confident with it and I can improve.

  1. Thanks Christopher. The review will need to be a little more in depth than this. You need to say what are the successful aspects of the finished animation. It might be the drawing style, the way you have created movement (is it realistic for example), the mood (humorous, serious) of the piece to get your message across etc. I think we are taking it as given the animation will be finished and reflects health and safety as that was the brief.
You also need to identify areas that you could improve using the software (Photoshop and or Illustrator, if you have used this one too). You might indicate how you will improve using the software through keeping notes that allow you to know the tools better, practice with the timeline so you are more confident about creating the animation, explore the various drawing tools to develop work further to add things like texture, learn some further ways of animating like the frame-by-frame option available. Let Jamal read these comments too, or cut and paste them in to a comment on his blog so that he can use the information. Thanks Steve

The Final outcome of the work // Improvements to the final outcome of the work.

Evaluation Overall, I think I did ok while I was doing the Zigzag magazine I added my badges, my photography, my pop art portrait, my light photography, my animation, my games project and my contact details.  I think I could of done better by adding more written stuff to each page and adding more pictures to each bar if I did both of those things I think it would of looked better and been better for me.  I could of also checked on my spelling because there was a spelling mistake "potrait" which is supposed to be "portrait".  Apart from those mistakes I have mentioned I think I done decent I think I done a good amount of work. The layout could have been better and it could have been more consistent. Bit there is pictures on just about all the pages that make it look interesting.  This is where I placed all my folders for the following unit. This is where I saved my zigzag work and it shows everything that I used.

Designing A Game Character

Designing A Game Character In todays lesson we were asked to do an activity of examining two character designs to see what they could be like or their personality. For the first character I said he looks serious, confused and mysterious where as the second character looks unfriendly, moody, aggressive and vicious. I think it is important the way a character looks because it can give you hints or you can know what the character is like, what he/she can be like.  For the second activity we were asked to create a character for a game and draw them out on a A3 piece of paper you would have to draw the front, back and side of the character. To be honest I think I did ok on my character designs but I think I can do a bit better by managing to be better at drawing. I had to go on Photoshop to do the game characters which are the front, back and side I also had to add colour in to make it stand out and next time I would have to scan it. I personally think that my drawing is ok but c...
